On World Environment Day, 5th June, members from the WiMS Country Chapter in Zanzibar participated in celebrations at Nyamanzi village. The guest of Honor during the event was the 1st president of Zanzibar and the function was hosted by the Department of Environment under the theme “Ecosystem restoration to achieve success in the blue economy”. During the event mangrove seedlings were planted and a beach clean up was held.
